What a busy and fun half term it has been for fox class!
Much of our learning has been based around our Power Of Reading book; `Where the wild things are’ by Maurice Sendak. We explored the setting and characters and re-told the story through drama and writing. We made fantasy creatures and wild things using collage and construction materials.
We have enjoyed doing lots of outdoor learning for our science. We have learnt about parts of trees, identified which ones are deciduous or evergreen and spotted signs of autumn. We have also planted spring flowering bulbs kindly donated by Kieft and Sons Ltd.
We enjoyed handling a variety of fruits and vegetables as part of our learning about where our food comes from, and harvest time.
In maths we have used concrete resources, pictorial and abstract methods to show our understanding of place value, counting, addition, subtraction and 2D shapes.
In PE we have been playing dodgeball and practising our throwing and catching. We also showed brilliant determination and teamwork when we took part in the Norfolk Games virtual cross country race.
In music we learnt a song and rap which we performed to each other in the last week.
