This term feels like it has whizzed by! We have spent the past couple of months trying lots of news things and exploring the world around us.
Our topic has been ‘The Enchanted Wood’, which is based on the story written by Enid Blyton. We made our very own enchanted wood in our classroom, complete with magical toadstools!
We have spent a few days in our school grounds and also in Littlewood. We looked for faces in the trees: the guardians of the wood…
Along the way we have learnt about the fruits of the woodlands and tasted different berries (safely) and fungi.
We also participated in Multicultural Week, where we visited lots of different countries and learnt a little bit about each of them. It was also lots of fun learning about Chinese New Year!
Recently we made some magical doors to put in our woodland but one morning we came to school and they had moved outside…
I wonder how they got there?
In Mouse Class we love books so one of our favourite days this term was World Book Day, when we came to school in a book character costume (the teachers did too!)
