Curriculum
The National Curriculum consists of 10 subjects and R.E. that all children from ages 5 – 14 must study at school. Children in Key Stage 1, follow a creative curriculum based on the statutory subjects. In the Early Years Foundation Stage, a focus is placed on the unique child, positive relationships, enabling environments along with learning and development. All Infant School children are taught all “Core” and “Foundation” subjects as well as Religious Education at the appropriate level.
The “Core” Subjects are:
- English
- Mathematics
- Science
- Information and Communication Technology (ICT)
- Religious Education (R.E.)
The “Foundation” subjects are:
- History
- Geography
- Physical Education
- Music
- Art
- Design/Technology
- Personal, Social, and Health Education & Citizenship (Ct)
