Squirrel Class – Autumn Term

As part of our topic Leaf Squirrel Class have been busy investigating ice and its properties. They were given the challenge of picking up an ice cube using a piece of thread. Tying thread around an ice cube is slippery and chilly for the fingers so they investigated using cold water and salt to melt and refreeze the ice cube with the thread inside. The children loved this experiment and couldn’t wait to find out the outcome.
